retitle 469779 No UI to modify arbitrary extended attribute (EA) thanks Yeah, sorry, I don't know how I missed that, I discovered it today because I went to the permissions tab for file already with ACLs, so the dropdown lists were disabled and I noticed the "Advanced Permissions" button. I think I was misled by the fact that this "bug" hit me quite some time ago, when I initially began using ACLs. Back then, I think I thoroughly searched and there wasn't the "Advanced Permissions", and I didn't check very well this time, when I eventually decided to file a bug...
