Package: kicker
Version: 4:3.5.8.dfsg.1-2
Severity: normal

I've got a new laptop (X61 Tablet lenovo), installed lenny, upgraded to
sid/experimental (xorg, 2.6.23, etc).

If I click right mouse button on trackpoint or external usb mouse -- the
same effect:
it looks like context menu appears for few miliseconds and goes away,
so barely any flickering could be mentioned.

if I continue clicking right button and move mouse a bit meanwhile then
sometimes I get steady context menu or reaction on a menu item. I think
it is sufficient to rapidly click and immediately move the mouse a bit
to get the effect -- so the movement of mouse has to come before actual
menu appears to disappear immediately if the mouse is not moved.

What could it be? may be trackpoint interact in a weird way causing the
issue -- I don't know. but as I said right click seems to work fine
everywhere else

Please advice on what additional information I could provide?

I think I got the same effect on kde desktop but now I use wmaker as
KDEWM and that one works fine anyways (ie no problem with right click).

Dear Maintainers - pardon my noise -- I solved it. Adjusted xorg.conf to
specify Protocol and CorePointer for the trackpoint and everything
started to work nicely. I guess some events were mistreated with
incorrect default protocol assigned which lead to that weird behavior.

Thanks
