Excuse me, but I have an nc8000 with kmix 4:3.5.7-2 and it works. If you
configure the shortcut again in kmix, does it recognise the pressing of keys?
Does it works with another key combination?

I had another global shortcut (for 'PCM' instead of 'Master channel') and it
works too.

If so, you can send the contents of ~/.kde/share/config/kmixrc.

	Best regards,

		Ender.
