Package: kde Version: 5:45 Severity: normal If I start with a (normal) KDE session from kdm, the display will become unresponsive during the restoring of session. If started with a failsafe session then running 'startkde' from a console, the startup appears to get to about the same point but then kills the X server. I'm not sure where to poke it for helpful information. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (100, 'unstable'), (99, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12.local Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages kde depends on: ii kde-amusements 5:45 the K Desktop Environment games an ii kde-core 5:45 the K Desktop Environment core mod ii kdeaddons 4:3.4.2-2.1 add-on plugins and applets provide ii kdeadmin 4:3.4.3-1 system adminstration tools from th ii kdeartwork 4:3.4.3-1 themes, styles and more from the o ii kdegraphics 4:3.4.3-1 graphics apps from the official KD ii kdemultimedia 4:3.4.3-3 multimedia apps from the official ii kdenetwork 4:3.4.3-2 network-related apps from the offi ii kdepim 4:3.4.2-2 KDE Personal Information Managemen ii kdeutils 4:3.4.3-1 general purpose utilities from the ii kdewebdev 4:3.4.3-1 web development apps from the offi kde recommends no packages. -- no debconf information

Thanks, Olivier 2007/5/18, Olivier Vitrat <ovit.debian@gmail.com>:Hi, The Debian Qt/KDE team is trying to update the bug status of some old bugs in the BTS, and I'm helping with this task. Some time ago, you've reported bug number 340968 "kde: locks / crashes while restoring session" to Debian's Bug Tracking System. You can read the bug report at: http://bugs.debian.org/340968 We are sorry if nobody responded when you filed the bug, KDE has gotten more bugs in the past years than the maintainers could handle. The team is trying to fix this now, but we need your help. So please respond to this mail and tell us if: - you are still experiencing this bug (adding in what version) - the bug was already fixed (if known, in which version), - or if you have extra information on how reproduce this bug. Thank you for your cooperation! Olivier Vitrat helper for the Debian Qt/KDE team
