Package: kde
Version: N/A; reported 2004-03-01
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks unrelated software

We have found that attempting to use the "b" key under any application
in kde from sarge results in (a) "b" not being reported and (b) brief
keyboard input failure. This is reported as a critical bug as it does
break KDE quite thoroughly, and also breaks any application for which
you might want to use the letter b.

This problem appears to be intermittent, and seems to be related to
the scancode(turning on caps-lock and pressing shift-b does result
in a lowercase 'b'). The problem *only* occurs in KDE.

The systems are vanilla debian sarge systems(installed today, though
the problem has existed since last week). Other relevant information:

The systems are Ultra10s. We are using sun keyboards.

The point is that you should never ping the Fast 3Dfx CPU.
