Package: kwifimanager
Version: 3.3.1-2

If included as one of the applets to be loaded by KDE upon startup as
part of a KDE session, kwifimanager does not detect the wireless
interface (prism54 chipset, Netgear WG511 PCMCIA); it takes a restart of
the aforementioned application to detect the wireless interface.

There are no problems encountered when kwifimanager is started manually
- it readily detects the wireless interface.

Here's the configuration of the wireless interface

iface eth0 inet dhcp
wireless_essid MySSID
wireless_key D56CDB729B5BAF00276AEA3FB1
wireless_keymode restricted
