Package: artsbuilder
Version: 4:2.2.2-8
Severity: normal

I'm using libarts-alsa (see below) and I think I should be able to use
my SBLive's synthesiser through arts. According to documentation, I
need to add the correct system midi port in artscontrol's midi manager
(is there some way to avoid having to go through this routine every
time?). But the midi manager only offers me the option of adding an
OSS midi port.

I tried specifing ALSA devices anyway (tried any of /dev/snd/midi* and
/dev/snd/seq), but it did not work.

What gives?

No answer since the last moreinfo request 2 years ago. Since this bug is
very old, I'm closing it now.

Cheers,
