Bug#267635: Splash screen icon

back than I meant the splash screen of KDE which featured an image of 
the earth, I think with a gear around it (ooh, 2 years ago, switched 
distros several times). And my suggestion is, that by seeing ones own 
region of the world in focus gives a good feeling to the user. Not a big 
thing, the rotated world, just a tiny detail, but these, although going 
by unnoticed, together form a pleasant experience.
