Package: kde
Version: 3.5.4
Severity: important

With earlier versions of KDE, if I selected some text, did a copy, then
selected some other text then did a paste, the copied text would replace
the (second) selected text.

Now, if I select and copy some text, then select some different text and
do a paste, the second selected text gets pasted and not the copied
text.

As noted - it is just the default configuration that has changed.

Having the possibility to have unified clipboard and x11-pastebuffer is what
many prefers.
And fortunately it is configurable
