- Subject: kmail: Another index problem: Message header values and thread sorting is mixed with totally other mails

Package: kmail Version: 4:3.3.1-3 Severity: important I use kmail to read mail from an local imap server (uw-imapd), the format is mbox. Over night there is an archiving/deleting job on the server which deletes some mails from the mbox folder. If i get new mail and open such an folder with kmail, the information about sender, subject, date and content is first shown correctly and well sorted by thread. If i select then a new (or old) mail, the sender,subject...and content of this message is from an totally other mail which is probably from an total other thread. This must be an index problem. I used kmail sometimes from kde 3.2 and i think this problem (for me) is new in kde 3.3. The version from 3.2 ex. does a "Cleaning" after exiting kmail. The new version don't do this AFAIK. With this bug kmail for me is useless while the only way to fix this problem is to recreate the local cache, so i lost some important settings for folders. Also deleting settings in ~/.kde for kmail (settings, cache) or using a fresh user does'nt solve. After the first outside action on the imap folder kmail runs in the above problem.
