Bug#397098: klaptopdaemon: .xsession-errors fills with messages when any button action selected
Package: klaptopdaemon
Version: 4:3.5.5-1
Severity: normal
When any button action is selected, the .xsesson-errors file accumulates
'QFile::open: No file name specified' messages several times per second.
Recreate by:
KDE Control Center -> Power Control -> Laptop Battery -> Button Actions
Select anything other that Off.
Messages start going to .xsesson-errors.
KDE Bug 103437 (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103437):
'Klaptopdaemon tries to read nonexisting /proc/acpi/button/*/*/status file, ever growing .xsession-errors'
has a patch to stop the messages, although it does not make Klaptopdaemon access the correct file.
And so will not fix debian bugs like #388849 klaptopdaemon: Hibernate does nothing.
Not filling up disk and not constantly causing disk accesses on a laptop is the desired resolution.
