Package: kontact
Version: 4:3.4.2-2
Severity: important

Strange bug: when I fire up kontact and try sending an email, kontact
crashes immediately. If I do the same thing from kmail by itself, it
works fine. Its weird because IIUC kontact simply uses the kmail part
embedded in its own gui -- so all the mail sending/receiving
functionality should be handled by kmail right?

the problem is here: you must have kmail compiled against the kdelibs
in unstable, whereas this kmail is compiled against 4:3.4.2-2.

This has been fixed the day kmail entered unstable in 3.4.3 (I've had
the same problems)

with 3.5 the problem is totally gone TTBOMK.
