Bug#354004: kdm: suspend and hibernate options on logout
Package: kdm
Version: 4:3.5.1-1
Severity: wishlist
kdm should offer an option to suspend or hibernate when logging out from
KDE. Ideally kdm would determine if suspend/hibernate is supported and
only offer these options if so, hal or other mechanisms could be used
for this.
The other possibility could be to configure this statically in kdmrc.
IIRC kubuntu offers something like this so maybe they already have also
code for it.
With more and more people using laptops this feature becomes
increasingly important.
Regards,
Michael
