--- Begin Message --- Package: kde
Severity: important

I downloaded and installed Debian Testing/unstable,
and told the debian-installer that I wanted a graphical user interface.
It installed GNOME and GDM, but not KDE. I want KDE!

This is my APT sources list:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
#deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux testing _Etch_ - Official Snapshot i386 Binary-1 //////(20051109)]/ etch contrib main

deb ftp://ftp.no.debian.org/debian/ testing main
deb-src ftp://ftp.no.debian.org/debian/ testing main

deb http://security.debian.org/ testing/updates main
----------------------------------------------------------------
I tried to install KDE later, but I always get this error message:
----------------------------------------------------------------
geir@coelacanth:~$ su
Password:
coelacanth:/home/geir# apt-get install kde
Reading package lists... Done

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
kde: Depends: kde-amusements but it is not going to be installed
Depends: kdeaddons but it is not installable
E: Broken packages
coelacanth:/home/geir#
---------------------------------------------------------------------
So it seems that I can not install KDE because I need kde-amusements
and kdeaddons, which somehow are unavailable.

The error message says that I must wait, cecause the packages have not
yet been moved out of Incoming... I did wait. Long...
After two weeks, I asked on #debian what's wrong. The guy said that all
packages had a 10 day quaranteene before they are released on APT.
I should wait until November 25., and everything would work.
I didn't believe him, ant I was right not to.
It still doesn't work. This is November 27.
