Bug#342110: kde does not like utf-8@euro locales

Out of curiosity, what does "fr_FR.UTF-8@euro" give you that
"fr_FR.UTF-8" does not? (e.g., what applications behave different,
  etc.)

  Because:

    % sudo locale-gen | grep fr
      fr_FR.UTF-8... done
      fr_FR.UTF-8@euro... done

    % env LC_ALL=fr_FR.UTF-8 locale charmap currency_symbol
    UTF-8
    €

    % env LC_ALL=fr_FR.UTF-8@euro locale charmap currency_symbol
    UTF-8
    €

  Thanks,
