  This bug is about a stable version of some software failing to compile
  against a not-yet-released version of one of its Build-Dependencies. I
  expect KDE upstream to react when CUPS 1.2 is officially released.

  If, for whatever reason, you're interested in having this fixed earlier, 
  I recommend you contact with KDE upstream directly and provide them some 
  sort of patch to detect the CUPS version at configure time and use the
  appropriate construct in each case.
