Bug#296499: kdebase-kio-plugins: sftp:// should use ssh-agent if possible

Adeodato Simó napisał(a):

Yes, and the numbers are the same as those I see on the konsole
(when running "set|grep -i ssh")

  OK, then it's properly set up.

If not, you will have to make sure that ssh-agent is
made available to KDE, e.g. via /etc/X11/Xsession.d or ~/.kde/env.

Then, maybe it is konqueror --preload problem?
When I killed all "kdeinit: konqueror" instances, then it began to work!

  Uhm, odd. Can you disable konqueror preloading in the control center,
  log out and in, and see if it works? Also, what method do you use to
  set the envvars in kde, ~/.kde/env?, /etc/X11/Xsession.d?

UPS! My last info was a bit misleading.
When I switch off konqueror preloading AND enter passphrase through ssh-add,
then konqueror sftp://... works well without password.

Now it seems that, what I see is caused by interaction of:
a) unability (?) of konqueror to ask for passphrase?
b) preloaded konqueror?

	Cheers and thanks for an excellent job!
