i run debian sarge installed from the recent linux magazin (de) special
edition, with kde as desktop.
i select K-Menu-> games-> board games -> kmahjongg then drag this entry to the
desktop and choose "link here". This makes a new icon on the desktop which i
wish to use for game start.
starting the game via this link (single click) runs the game ok, but upon
exit (as in: click the x in the top right) i get a popup window stating that
"KDEInit could not start /usr/games/kmahjongg <ok>"
There is no popup when i start the game through the K-Menu.
i was at first intrigued that the message was a) manifestly false und b) way
too late, so i posted this on linux.user.debian.german and received
confirmation of reproducability as well as an initial analysis that this
should be a bug in dcop out of kdelibs3-bin. there was also encouragement to
file a ticket (with a hint that none were active re kdelibs3 at that time),
so this is my wrapup of that discussion.
the debate is entitled "kde games machen was komisches" and conducted in
german, feel free to take a look.
i consider this issue "mostly harmless" at the surface level, however if the
friends from the list are right about damage to a basic mechanism then there
may be some considerable , er, how do you say *Wirk-Schatten* in english?!?
