Hi again,

some more info:

I noticed that the bug always occurs when you switch on the navigation panel 
in Konqueror and switch to the "Services" tab. This is when kio_audiocd grabs 
the device and never lets it go.

Maybe you didnt see the bug so far because your Konqueror file management 
profile differs from the default install and you never activated kio_audiocd 
during mounts/umounts.

Could you please, please, please mount a CD/DVD via the desktop icons, open 
Konqueror, turn on the navigation panel, switch to the Services tab, try to 
umount the CD/DVD again via the desktop icons and report your results!?

Writing one bug report after the other without a response can become very fast 
very frustrating...
