This would be helpful.

Yes, it would be interesting to know the reason.

Additionally, the installer team needs to get noticed anyway, as 
xfonts-konsole has to be installed with konsole. Or maybe you just update the 
dependency from "recommends" to "requires" because getting just an error 
message by selecting a menu option is a bug.
