You are right, installing xfonts-konsole and uncommenting some part of an obscure config file fixes the problem but do you really expect fresh Debian users to do such artistics!? This was my first serious try to migrate to Debian on the desktop and I think if you want to see Debian there this should work "out of the box". Can you prompt the installer team to make the necessary changes? Greetings Ronny
