Hm, #90967 sounds exactly like the bug in question.

But my kmheaders.cpp is

Indeed, the bug is there for me in the KDE_3_3_BRANCH (respectively sid kdepim 
debian package on two different clients with two different accounts), but not 
in KDE_3_3_1_RELEASE.
I'm clueless. For the record: The IMAP server in question is:
courier-imap (debian sarge version 3.0.8-3)
