Package: kdelibs4
Version: 4:3.3.1-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
Hello,
I use KDE with two keyboard layouts :
- US (shell input)
- US international (french text input with accents)
I just realised after a log out/in that I lost my US international
keyboard :
- the kxkb icon in the miniature box is "err"
- my $HOME/.xsession-errors shows those lines :
kdecore (KLibLoader): WARNING: KLibrary: /usr/lib/libkdecore.so.4: undefined symbol: init_keyboard_layout
Error loading new keyboard description
I have the last line above added each time I try to switch (with
Ctrl-Alt-K) to the US international keyboard.
This bug prevent me to type french input, so to my mind it makes
the package practically unusable.
'dpkg -S /usr/lib/libkdecore.so.4' shows me that this file belongs to
kdelibs4, so I file this bug against kdelibs4. Sorry if I am wrong.
Hope this helps and thanks for all the good work,
Emmanuel
