Re: Bug#251872: konqueror: I can't search from location bar

I noticed this post from early June, and thought I'd add my 2 cents.

A quick recap:

I can confirm this problem on Libranet (v2.8.1, relatively fresh install,
but updated w/ KDE 3.2 packages). It seems to be the default. If there's a
great difference between Libranet and vanilla-Debian that I'm not taking into
consideration, my apologies (to the best of my knowledge, they share the same
repositories, do they not?). Just thought I'd confer with the original
poster's situation.

Unlike the original poster, I looked here and found that the Search Engine was
set to 'none'. Switching it to Google (or another good engine) worked.
However, I've never had to do this before (on my previous non-Debian-based
distro). An oddity.

  Again - my 2 cents.
