 there's a disconnect between the bug raised and the post on kde-devel.
 [i.e. the person who responded is not aware of the bug report.]

 iirc there was a promise to update the documentation, and also
 i was advised to use [general] section Kiosk mode settings
 in places where the security settings i was attempting to use did not
 work.
