Bug#272211: KDM crashes when right "start" button pressed

when I press the right hand "start" button while the cursor is in the
username entry field of KDM the application Seg Faults. I have submitted
a bug to the KDE bug tracking system, it's bug #89760.

I'm running Debian GNU/Linux unstable with a custom 2.6.8.1 kernel.
