i have the same problem since i upgraded kde from 3.2 up to 3.3 (two weeks ago). i'm using debian unstable and get the error when i shutdown or reboot my computer (i386) with kdm. if i shutdown or reboot with tty1 or any other console (like konsole), the error doesn't occur. graphics driver is nvidia. nothing changed, just kde-upgrade. regards gunnar
