Bug#269687: crashes if dekstop is bigger than resolution

It looks like this bug might be fixed by the latest upload of XFree86 
(4.3.0.dfsg.1-7), according to this changelog entry:

     + Fix RandR initialization problem when default screen resolution is
       different from the virtual resolution. (Bugzilla #853, Bob Paauwe).

Speaking of this, I noticed from the list of dependencies of kcontrol that 
some of your X packages are at version 4.3.0.dfsg.1-6, while many are still 
at 4.3.0.dfsg.1-4.  Once -7 makes it into the archive later today, you 
might want to do an apt-get dist-upgrade to make sure they all get updated.
