Package: kdm
Version: 4:3.3.0-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
After upgrading to 3.3 i am unable to start a session.
Whenever i login from kdm, using existing users or new ones,
and whatever the kind of session (i've tried kde and failsafe),
the session just dies and the kdm is shown again.
The ~/.xsession-errors file contains the following error:
/etc/kde3/kdm/Xsession: line 59: exec: horizontal-scroll-mode: not found
I can start a (slow) KDE session without probles by doing:
# xinit -e ssh -X myuser@localhost startkde
So, KDE itself seems to be working properly, and the problem seems to
be on the way between kdm and startkde.

take a look at this thread on debian-kde:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-kde/2004/09/msg00017.html
that should point you to the real problem. I'm closing the bug, if you
have any trouble please write back.
