Bug#260083: knode: Standard charset for undeclared postings
Package: knode
Version: 4:3.2.2-2
Severity: wishlist
I receive many postings that are written with ISO8859-1 or -15, but the poster didn't declared that in the headers.
My own postings are writted (and declared) with utf-8. If I select "View - Charset - Automatic", messages without a charset will be decoded with my own setting (utf-8). This causes a loss of umlauts in received messages that come without a declaration.
It would be nice to be able to select a default charset for such undeclared messages, independant from the charset for new messages.
TIA! Michael.
