Bug#237065: kcontrol crashes when trying to change a file association application

When I attempt to make a change to the preferred application for
handling a file type, kcontrol crashes. Here is the console output from
a session where I attempt to set the default application to 'ggv' for
PDF files:

This occurs only when I use the 'Add..' button to add a new
application. Shuffling the existing applications (currently, kghostview
and gv in this case) works ok.
