Package: kate
Version: 4:3.0.4-1
Severity: wishlist

At the moment UNDO in Kate saves the previous events on a character basis. It should be changed to save blocks.
And two blocks should be separated by cursor-moving keys.

For example, I type the following:

So are you to my thoughts as food to life,
Or as sweet season showers are to the ground.

Currently, if I press ctrl-z, Kate would erase the punctuation at the and of the second line.
It should be changed so that it delete the whole text.
