Hi Valessio! Thank you for the flyer, very nice artwork :-) On Tue, 16 Aug 2011 06:02:08 +0200, Valessio S Brito wrote: > I get numbers here: > http://www.debian.org/mirror/size.en.html > > and others using old flyer: > http://news.debian.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/DebianTurns17.jpg The official flyers are at <http://debian-flyers.alioth.debian.org/>, please spread their use! The English, French and German versions were updated for the squeeze release, which means that they are the "official" numbers that should be used in any further communication, i.e.: Debian is a free operating system for your computer. Debian is currently based on the Linux kernel and includes more than 29,000 packages of utilities and applications. This is far more software than is available for any other Free operating system. 9 architectures are supported, including 32-bit and 64-bit PCs, plus technical previews of two new ports to the kernel of the FreeBSD project. Since 1993, volunteer developers (about 1,000) are working on maintaining Debian's high quality. [...] Actually, the complete Debian GNU/Linux distribution consists of at least 7 DVDs, 44 CDs or 2 BDs. These discs hold just the architecture-dependent precompiled binaries; you'll need more for the sources. <https://alioth.debian.org/scm/viewvc.php/general/english.tex?view=markup&revision=1.43&root=debian-flyers> > Citando Filipus Klutiero <chealer@gmail.com>: >> Le 2011-08-15 20:04, Valessio Brito a écrit : >>> artwork in GPLv2, see http://valessiobrito.info/d18th/README / GPLv2 file. I am not a license expert nor I have followed the logo problem during the squeeze release, but if you do not plan to upload your graphics to the Debian archive may I suggest to continue using the official Debian swirl and font, please? I still think that having an "approved" (and used) fork is very bad marketing... Thx, bye, Gismo / Luca
