The project appears to be a Live CD using live-helper (from the Debian
Live project) and Debian & Ubuntu package repositories:

Other than in that blog entry and a few PDFs ("Debian based" next to
the open use logo), they don't mention their use of Debian/Ubuntu. I
find this kind of disappointing. They don't appear to distribute
source code for all the packages on the LiveCDs either.
