If a funding ad campaign would be set, maybe advertising at pay-per-click
services like google adwords, overture and others would be more cost effective.
The text ads of adwords has high click rate too.
We would need some clever copy alternatives *extremely* short (right to the
point) and some graphical banners for testing click ratio.
I already publish some Debian banners at my site.
Unfortunately there are very few of them (i use those from Volkany).
Maybe, a creative contest for graphical banners, and for ad copy for the ad
services.
The creative contest could be launched even if NOT for pay-per-click ad
services, but for volunteer effort on friend sites.
