I actually started to work on something similar to this in the last couple of weeks, which I announced on my blog syndicated on the Planet. This brings Debian-related news (from Debian-related websites), into the front page of the Debian Wiki, by fetching the RSS feeds and placing them as they appear. I really would like to hear any suggestion or comment on the matter. I already received[1] a nice suggestion from one of the Wiki translators, which I implemented happily.
