One of the files is corrupted:
$ gzip -d debian/mailing_list/debian-user/94-01-31_to_94-02-06.gz
gzip: debian/mailing_list/debian-user/94-01-31_to_94-02-06.gz: invalid

compressed data--length error
it would be cool if you could give that a second try to see if you can
reread that off the CD before I try to massage them into the archive.
