Dear Debian,

I strongly advise you to realize that Microsoft is being FUCKEN ASSHOLES to
the entire world of PC customers. They are becoming control freaks with
their monopoly power and are starting to invade every ones privacy with the
upcoming Windows XP! It is getting to the point where Microsoft will be
able to see and control everything you do on your PC! This is totally
serious!!!!!! I strongly really think you guys should make Linux able to
run all Apps designed for Windows so that they run on Linux just as if they
were designed to run on Linux. If you are worried about being able to make
an operating system compatible with too many things that you think it would
cause conflicts, it ought to be designed to run Windows 95, 98, and ME apps
only supported along with what Linux already runs. It doesn?t need to run
Windows NT or 2000 apps as those apps are more for businesses and Linux
already has similar and almost identical software built for it. Businesses
can find almost anything they need to run on Linux, but home consumers can?t
as there are so many things like games, drawing, encyclopedias, and etc?
that you can?t get for Linux. You may not think you could get much value
out of that because of the cost and effort of designing Linux to run Windows
9X/ME Apps, but here is an idea. Team up with a lot of the other Linux
distributors and Universities who founded Linux and work on it together.
This would easily solve that problem and you could all make one of the best
versions of Linux EVER!!!! After you guys had gotten it set to run Windows
Apps, you guys could then agree to let each one of each other have it and
make their own distributions of it over time with the WIN 32 in it as an
automatic feature. I STRONGLY ADVISE THAT THIS WOULD BE A GREAT IDEA!
Encourage developers to start making their software for Linux, advertise
against Windows XP and tell the public how bad it is and what Microsoft is
doing, and offer PC manufacturers to preload Linux on their PCs for free.
Think about it, doing all what I just said very well could be terrific for
you in the long term and it will be great for the PC market having an
operating system able to run just about anything designed for the
PC(including older software) that is stable and never freezes up unlike
Windows which freezes up all the time!! Not only would this be great, it
will also SAVE the PC market from PC users becoming a slave under Microsoft
while on their PC which would be HORRIBLY AWFUL!! Please!! Only you and
other Linux distributors and developers, and PC manufacturers can do
something to save the PC market from becoming a slave under inconsiderate,
control freak, selfish Microsoft. Please take this letter for some value.

Please respond,

Thanks

Chris
