Bug#410760: iSeries (AS/400) printing: cups-lpd submitted multi-copy jobs stalling

Package: cupsys-bsd
Version: 1.2.7-4

I'm using cups-lpd to process jobs submitted via the remote output queue mechanism on an iSeries (AS/400) box. This works well except when specifying multiple copies.

When multiple copies are specified the printer prints the first copy only. The status of the printer is "Waiting for job to complete..." and remains that way. The printjob itself stays in the queue in state "processing since...".

I have to delete this job for cups to continue processing the queue.

A few things to note:
- If I stop/start cups one more copy of the job is printed after which the same situation as described above resumes. - Not sure if this is relevant: if specifying for example 4 copies, there are five files in /var/spool/cups, cXXXXX and dXXXXX-001 to dXXXXX-004. - This sitation started to occur when I upgraded from cupsys v1.1.23-12 to v1.2.1-3 and ever since, eg. things were fine with cupsys < v1.2.

I'm using debian testing/etch with kernel 2.6.8-2-386 #1.

Thanks.
