I think I have the same machine, and I had to remove a lot of cruft from my config to get X working properly. I attach my working version. I removed dual-screen configurations, and removed HorizSync=60Hz (ibook apparently isn't 60Hz), and added 'Option "Monitor-LVDS" "Generic Monitor"' regards, junichi -- dancer@{debian.org,netfort.gr.jp} Debian Project
