It says that it cannot find yaboot.conf: using default
Cannot write nvram
Now what?
PS. Sorry for asking so many questions! But I am a bit of newbe to linux in
ppcs.

Did you try
"/usr/sbin/ybin"
after chrooting into /dev/disc0/..... ?
