how to build Xorg?

Dear all

I will make you a "simple" question: I have some problems (most
probably) with a bug in XFree that, once in a while kills X.  

I am running sarge on a ibook g3 = PB4,2 , the video card is  ATI
Technologies Inc Rage Mobility M3 AGP 2x (rev 02).

I would like to try with Xorg, but the package exists only for sid.

Is there any way to compile it myself on sarge? 
As far as the RTFM answers, can you indicate me the manuals?
