Regresions with 2.6.16-rc4

Hi *.

I have upgraded to 2.6.16-rc4 to try the latest bcm43xx code (just got an
airport extreme) in my ibook 12" [1] and found some regresion problems:

1. sound stopped working. during the boot up process i can see a signal 11 in
the kernel. [2]

2. (probably not related here, but) linux-wlan-ng does not compile.

3. cannot make work the broadcom bcm43xx, with the following procedure:

download 2.6.16-rc4
download, copy to in-kernel net/ and include/ dirs
compile and reboot
download bcm43xx snapshot from 060227, compile and load

I get:

frost:~# modprobe bcm43xx
ieee80211_crypt: registered algorithm 'NULL'
ieee80211: 802.11 data/management/control stack, git-1.1.7
ieee80211: Copyright (C) 2004-2005 Intel Corporation<jketreno@linux.intel.com>
bcm43xx: no version magic, tainting kernel.
Module doesn't contain .plt or .init.plt sections.
FATAL: Error inserting bcm43xx (/lib/modules/2.6.16-rc4/kernel/net/ieee80211/bcm43xx.ko): Invalid module format

Any ideas are very welcome.
