The one from the embedded planet BSP for my EP8248 board.

Indeed, you need to know the board, but i guess it is doable, and not take
allthat much time probably too. I got the 2.6.14 working on a TQM powerquicc 1
board for example.

Maybe, maybe not, ask on linuxppc-embed list, more appropriate than the debian
one i think.

You could bother the vendor of your board for a 2.6 BSP too, i guess.
