Fan control 2.6.15-rc6 on PowerMac 8,2 not working

I'm running 2.6.15-rc6, but the fan is still on all the time.  At the beginning of the boot sequence it is off and then, once it starts (well before X) it never stops again.

Is there something else I should turn on?  Is this G5 supported?

Find attached the dmesg, /proc/cpuinfo and /proc/config output.
