I doubt the following will help, but who knows ... :
I installed 2.6.10-2 via an entry in the sources.list:
----------
deb http://people.debian.org/~luther/powerpc/2.6.10-2/ ./
deb-src http://people.debian.org/~luther/powerpc/2.6.10-2/ ./
-------------
and then with a simple
apt-get install kernel-image-2.6.10-powerpc
Both packages, kernel + mkvmlinuz, IIRC, got installed without *any*
complaints from the package manager ..
Eugen, did you try something like
1:
dpkg -C
2:
dpkg --configure -a
to fix the problem?
Sometimes here, on unstable, I get errors, too, when trying to upgrade
packages. Often things get done by simply repeating the configuration
of the install ...
