usb wireless dongle

I have bought an usb2 54mbps wireless dongle (sitecom wl-133) It's the only 802.11g (54Mb) device to be supported under linux (ralink does not yet support usb, PrismGT does not yet support usb) it is a zydas zd1211, the module is released under gpl by zydas but it is not supported.

I've tried the driver and compiled with many warnings, when I try to put up eth1 the kernel 2.6.9 crashes... sigh! (same thing happens with ethernet usb adapter adm8513 Pegasus II with vanilla kernel).

There's a sourceforge project willing to support it: http://sourceforge.net/projects/zd1211

They are very few (mailing list counts 5 subscriptions), I'm writing this email to ask if there is anyone willing to help them, I proposed myself to build them a site and to be a beta tester.

Mac users (ibook, emac, imac) really need such a device to go wireless 11g with linux, or to have monitor support (the device also works as access point).

Sorry for crossposting!!
