# modprobe therm_adt746x
FATAL: Error inserting therm_adt746x (/lib/modules/2.6.8-powerpc/kernel/drivers/macintosh/therm_adt746x.ko): No such device

Nothing shows up in dmesg. Would the adt746x show up in /proc or /sys?
