I used parted for that purpose on my PowerBook, and it worked
well. Maybe I had to run tune2fs after to re-enable journalling (I
actually forgot what exactly I did, it was easy).
Don't forget to re-run ybin (ie to reinstall yaboot) after playing
with the partition table.
