So, what boot image should i take to get it working. I am still with an 
unbootable kernel, on a machine that should *work fine* ...

Kernel 2.6 is running extremely well on my PPCBUG-prep machine. No 
kernel is booting on my to-be-installed OF-prep one, except the one 
found on a website for an ibm rs6k.
